Recently I attended three interesting IT events in Kazan: VK JT Meetup, Russian Startup Week // Yandex Cloud, and IT Talk by Sber. Each of them showed in its own way where the IT ecosystem is heading — and left me with plenty of ideas and impressions.
VK JT Meetup is an offline gathering for ML engineers and Java developers where they share real case studies, not theory. Topics included cloud management, service migration, resolving degradations during product growth, and implementing search technologies at scale.
It all wrapped up with an informal session and live conversations with developers — a great format.
Yandex Cloud is actively developing its ecosystem, hosting events for startups and partners, presenting cloud services, DevOps tools, and the use of cloud technologies in production projects.
The discussions covered:
This is useful if you are considering the cloud as part of your product's infrastructure.
IT Talk by Sber is a series of meetups bringing together developers, architects, and team leads. Topics covered artificial intelligence, big data, Java, frontend, and team management.
Especially interesting were the discussions about:
After the talks, there was a networking zone where you could discuss architecture and approaches with developers in person.
My experience at VK JT Meetup, Yandex Cloud / startup events, and IT Talk by Sber was not just attending meetups. It was a true immersion into the world of technology and the developer community. Kazan is becoming an important hub of the IT industry, and it's great to be part of this movement.
